What is 3D for ? Modeling shapes, adding or deleting elements at will, illustrating a project before its realization... Many domains takes naturally benefits from the features given by the 3D: architecture, design, commercials, decoration... The progresses of digital medias technologies allowed application fields that were once reserved to big multimedia studios. 3D Computer Graphics works may become an animation, a classic picture or even so a scale model or a prototype matrix. The ways of creating 3D content are more and more user-friendly thanks particularly to frequents updates of Blender or other Open-Source Computer Graphics softwares, Here are some 3D artwork content designed and rendered by my own. |

The 3D virtual world. The primary functions of 3D Computer Graphics is to create, and integrate volumes representation into space.
The 3D work-flow is usually focused on distinct parts: mesh modeling, material and textures creation ( aka. Shaders ), light and camera position... Setting up a 3D scene requires more preparation than a classical drawing picture but also offers more flexibility with the final result. The output of a 3D scene can be as well a simple image or an animation and may also be used in vidéo-games, high-tech website development[...] Read more

Organic 3D modeling Being able to create organic shapes or very big structures without limitations is one of the many useful aspect of 3D Computer Graphics. By using surface subdivision modeling, bump mapping textures, baked ambient occlusion and many other technical tricks 3D Computer Graphics can fake or re-create any existing or imaginable thing.
[...] By unleashing the imagination 3D Computer graphics allows to achieve fantastic creatures and epic scenes composition...Read more

Computer Graphics artwork Opportunities are countless for 3D Computer Graphics. For a designer it is mostly a way to express his art, 3D Computer graphics is certainly not restricted to commercial or industrial application. It is a tool providing an open field for growing ideas without other limits than the creator's mind. 3D Computer Graphics is a complex art made by the mix of high-tech algorithms and imagination.

Advanced prototype design. Based on existing object or original ideas, 3D elements conception needs precise modeling to achieve good renders.
Using references as drawing pictures, blue-prints, drafts, greatly improve this process.
A project intended to be used in an industrial environment needs to be rational and also to take in consideration the materials constraints. In other cases when it is only a virtual project, it may be possible to get convincing results by showing impossible mechanism or materials who have not yet been invented....Read more
