3D Computer Graphics expand considerably the artistic creation field.

Like virtual sculpting 3D Computer Graphics allows complex geometry modeling. Being able to create organic shapes or very big structures without limitations is one of the many useful aspect of 3D Computer Graphics. By using surface subdivision modeling, bump mapping textures, baked ambient occlusion and many other technical tricks 3D Computer Graphics can fake or re-create any existing or imaginable thing. This way it may be possible to design wild and dangerous animals intended to be in a scene, or even simulate a large crowd in any environment. By unleashing the imagination 3D Computer graphics allows to achieve fantastic creatures and epic scenes composition. The creature creation process is a good example of 3D Computer Graphics workflow. First the basic shape of the model and its textures, designed with personal inspiration or with the help of some reference pictures. Then after the modeling and shading phases, a pseudo-skeleton system is set on the mesh to allow it to be deformed along its natural articulations. It literally brings life to the creature when its different poses are being animated to interact with the scene. The 3D objects created this way become real (virtual) actors and may be used for animation movies, tv-commercials, video-games... As a Computer Graphics, 3D is very important in my production pipeline. I use it daily to add graphic content in my creations. The goal being to always get the best picture for the perfect image.
